About Us

Welcome to 1st Christian Academy-Online

1st Christian Academy-Online in Pearland Texas was established with a vision to offer a quality, college preparatory education in a Christian environment. In 1989, I decided to not return to teach in the local public school. I felt the need for there to be a Christian School arises that would not be classroom driven—but student driven. Each student is an individual and called of God to be someone special He alone can use. Jeremiah 1:5, Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.” We believe just as each student has individual talents, We also believe each student has individual needs , academic, spiritual as well as social.
Starting August 2016/2017 School Year, 1st Christian Academy-Online decided to expand our vision and open our doors to include a Virtual Online School. The Virtual Online School is here to offer assistance for those families that are providing an online homeschooling program. FCA can accommodate the needs of almost every family and student. Our Accredited Virtual Online School makes home schooling your child easier and safer than ever before. From our Online Elementary to our Virtual Online High School Program, there is an online homeschooling option that will provide your child with an individualized online schooling program that will ensure their future success. For those families living within driving distances, you may choose to have your children take part in our many elective course.

1st Christian Academy-Online in Pearland Texas starts by learning as much as possible about your student, before making recommendations. FCA offers two types of curriculum; paper-based or computer-based. 1st Christian begins with having your child take a Diagnostic Test. After your child completes the test, your child’s teacher will analyze the results and customize a curriculum plan to meet his/her academic needs. Our teachers and academic advisers will be there to provide ongoing support for each online home schooling student enrolled. Enroll your child today and let us help you make memories with your child!

1st Christian Academy-Online Virtual School exists to support parents and guardians in their biblical responsibility to nurture and train their children. FCA provides opportunities that allow students to experience academic and spiritual development through an individualized, Christ-centered Curriculum. Parents now have the option to choose Computer-based OR Paper-based Curriculum

Through our Paper-based and Computer –based Curriculum at home, 1st Christian Academy-Online seeks to lead students to faith in Jesus Christ and to develop young men and women who adhere to a Christian world view and think Christ-like, prepared to participate as Godly members of home, church, and society.

Accelerated Christian Education Curriculum (3rd-12th Grade)

At First Christian Academy-Online we use the Accelerated Christian Education (ACE)
curriculum. The ACE curriculum is different from other curriculum. For over 40 years, it has been the trendsetter in Biblical education reform. Its philosophy is built on basic principles of the Word of God. Students are taught to see life from God's point of view, to take responsibility for their own learning, and to walk in Godly wisdom and character. Accelerated Christian Education is not just a publisher but a comprehensive Bible-based program that serves both the campus-based school and the home school.
Biblical, Character-Based Education
Individualized Education
Mastery-Based Academic Excellence
Multimedia and Computer Technology
Training and Convention Workshops
Student Opportunities for Character Development and Ministry
Goal Setting Skills
Diagnostic Testing
Independent Habits
Advanced Placement
The ACE curriculum uses PACES to teach students the content of most of the subjects.

Accelerated Christian Education has taken the conventional styled textbook and divided it into bite-sized, achievable, work-texts called PACES. Each PACE is similar to a unit in a textbook. Each level consists of 12 PACES in each subject. PACES integrate Godly character-building lessons into academic content, and self-instructional activities are carefully designed to develop thinking skill and create mastery learning.
Students begin their PACE work by noting their goals, the concepts they will learn, a Bible verse, and a corresponding character trait. From the beginning of each PACE, they know what is expected and assume the responsibility for their own learning!
Full-colored explanations and illustrations add excitement to each lesson, and innovative learning activities reinforce the interesting text material.
Since 1970, ACE PACES have proven to be effective tools for goal setting and for achieving academic excellence.

Advantages of using the ACE curriculum

* The child is involved in setting his/her own daily goals and then setting out to achieve them – a vital skill for them to learn for working life.

* The work is all set out for you, you simply move from one work-book to another, progressing to the next work-book once a test has been passed. This is a huge time saver for me personally.

* You are able to see immediately if there are any problem areas as these will show up in either the checkups {concise test on work just learned} of which there are around 3/PACE, or in the self-tests
* Each PACE reinforces a different biblical character trait as well as has a scripture verse for the child to learn. This builds up a valuable wealth of scripture in the child’s heart which in my opinion will stand him/her in good stead throughout life.

* Each child can move at his/her own pace.
